Safilo Group S.p.A.: call of the Ordinary Shareholders’ Meeting to appoint the new Board of Directors

Padova, 24th February 2010 – The Board of Directors of Safilo Group S.p.A., held today, has called the Ordinary Shareholders’ Meeting for the appointment of the new Board of Directors on 27th March, in first call, and 29th March 2010, in second call.
The notice of the call of the Ordinary Shareholders’ Meeting will be duly published tomorrow in the daily national newspaper Corriere della Sera and made available on the Company website (www.safilo.com). The Directors’ Report to the Shareholders on the proposed agenda will also be available on the company website at least 15 days before the date fixed for the first call.

Safilo Group also communicates that the current Board of Directors will meet on next 29th March 2010 to examine and approve the draft Financial Statements and Consolidated Financial Statements as at December 31st 2009.
